Tour Description

With the Hop-On Hop-Off Bus Tour, you can explore the modern capital of Dublin, a city with many facets. Discover its rich past through the sights and tales of its mediaeval walls, Georgian architecture, revolution, devastation, starvation, fire, and prosperity.

Take a bus to the Writers Museum, please. Some of history's finest writers have called Dublin, a UNESCO City of Literature, home. Joyce, Beckett, Shaw, Wilde, and Stoker. Everybody was from here. Perhaps neither Dorian Grey nor Dracula would exist without Dublin.

Go to the Irish Museum of Modern Art, or IMMA, if you want to delve deeper into the world of art. You may be sure that what you see here will challenge your preconceptions and make you think. It covers modern art from Lichtenstein to Rauschenberg.

Dublin is steeped in history, from Kilmainham Gaol, the jail that housed some of Ireland's most infamous military and political figures, to a recreation of the ship that the Irish used to emigrate to America, the Jeanie Johnston. Discover the events that have influenced Dublin by getting off at the National Museum of Ireland and well-known historical locations.

You could definitely use a little fun after reading about culture, history, and books for so long. Numerous experiences, such as visiting the Guinness Storehouse, the Irish Whisky Museum, and Teelings Distillery, can teach you everything there is to know about your preferred beverage. Additionally, get off in Temple Bar, a neighbourhood with lots of welcoming bars and restaurants. Before getting back on the bus and seeing some of the city's best sights, get yourself a glass of the black stuff.

Popular stops on the Hop-On Hop-Off Route often include:

  • Trinity College: Home to the famous Book of Kells and the stunning Long Room library.
  • Guinness Storehouse: Explore the history of Ireland's most famous beer and enjoy a pint at the Gravity Bar with panoramic views of the city.
