Located on Museumplein, Amsterdam’s famous museum square, the Van Gogh Museum sits alongside the Rijksmuseum, the Royal Concertgebouw and the Stedelijk Museum. It is the Netherlands’ second most-visited museum, welcoming between one and two million visitors each year.

The museum consists of two architecturally striking buildings designed by Gerrit Rietveld and Kisho Kurokawa. The Rietveld Building houses the permanent collection, while the Kurokawa Wing is dedicated to temporary exhibitions.
