Tour Description

Madeira is the summit of a huge volcano on the Atlantic floor that is happily long extinct. It's an island of heights and slopes, then! You may discover some of the hidden gems of Funchal by travelling up and inland on our Blue Line route.

 

Funchal's Monte neighbourhood is well-known for its serene streets and lovely gardens. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy every possible shade of green in Monte Municipal Park. This park is the tallest on the island and was constructed in the 19th century. It's the ideal location for escaping the heat on a hot summer day. Monte's elevation of 550 meters above sea level is undoubtedly beneficial!

 

The Monte Palace Tropical Garden is another excellent spot to unwind. It features an amazing collection of exotic plants from all over the world and is spread across 70 acres. Both black and white swans can be found in its middle lake!


You can also explore Funchal itself with our Blue Line. Take a walk around the coastline and look at the boats after getting off at Praça do Povo. After that, get back on the bus and go to the Casino de Madeira if you're feeling lucky. We would put everything on red even if you were on the Blue Line!

Red Route:
  • First Departure: 09:30am, Last Departure: 05:00pm 
  • Frequency: 25 minutes
  • Full Loop: 100 minutes
  • First Stop: Avenida Do Mar- Marina (Please reach 15 min prior)

  • You can redeem your mobile or printed voucher at any of the stops. However, the first stop is Avenida Do Mar- Marina.
  • You will receive a ticket in exchange for your voucher, which you must keep until the expiry date/ tour.
  • After exchanging your voucher for a ticket, your voucher will no longer be valid.
  • In loss of voucher/ticket, company is not liable for any refund.

Voucher Validity:

  • The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of booking.

  • Road closures and heavy traffic can result in delays, reduced trips, and route modifications. We'll make every effort to deliver a seamless and regular service! Under these circumstances, there will be no refund.

Walking Tour - Historic Centre

  • Departure Time: Monday - Saturday: 11:00 (no walking tour on Sundays, December 25th and January 1st)
  • Meeting Point: Bus Stop 1 | Red Line
  • Duration: 1 hour

  • To get the full refund, you must cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the activity/tour start time.
  • If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before the activity/ tour start time, you will not get any refund.
  • Modifications/ changes are allowed at least 24 hours before the activity/ tour start time. You must contact us through email.
  • The activity/tour's local start time determines the cut-off times.

  • There may be unexpected changes in the route or timetable due to traffic, public holidays, weather conditions, cruise ship arrivals, or other unanticipated situations. During major events, summer vacations, and weekends, the city will be quite busy. We will do everything we can to provide a smooth and consistent service! In such cases, no reimbursement is allowed.
  • Tours run regardless of the weather. Weather-related refunds will not be issued unless the service is discontinued due to inclement weather.
  • The service provider preserves the right to amend or cancel the itinerary due to city events or force majeure.
