Itinerary

Hop-On Hop-Off:
Are you prepared to experience the stunning capital of Portugal, Lisbon, from a unique viewpoint? Simply board one of our buses and select from our Blue, Green, or Red Route. You have the freedom to switch between routes at your convenience, and all our comfortable open-top buses commence their journey at Marques de Pombal.

Blue Route:
If you are traveling with young children, the family-oriented Blue Route is ideal for you. Disembark at the Jardim Zoologico to observe lions, tigers, and bears (oh my!). This zoo is one of the oldest in Europe, established in 1884. Reboard to visit another of Lisbon’s premier tourist destinations, the exceptional Oceanário. You may have visited aquariums before, but this one is truly remarkable. As Europe’s largest indoor aquarium, it features a massive tank that serves as a habitat for over 100 species, including the rare and highly sought-after sunfish. From penguins to otters, and sharks to rays, the variety of wildlife here is astonishing.

Red Route:
Transitioning from underwater wonders to breathtaking sea views, enjoy the refreshing ocean breeze on your face as you relax on the top deck of our classic Red Route. Take in the stunning vistas along this coastal road, and then hop off right next to Lisbon’s two most impressive landmarks: the extraordinary Mosteiro dos Jerónimos and the iconic Torre de Belém. The former, a grand monastery, is an architectural marvel. Stroll through its elaborately carved cloisters and discover the history of the monks who once inhabited this magnificent site. The Torre de Belém also features intriguing carvings, including the earliest representation of a rhinoceros in Europe. You will also appreciate the building’s North African-inspired turrets and the breathtaking views of the River Tagus.

Green Route:
Hop aboard our green route for a ride up the hill to the impressive Sao Jorge castle, which has a history spanning over a thousand years. Having been destroyed twice by earthquakes, it was completely restored to its original splendor in the 20th century. Another elevated attraction in the city is the vibrant Bairro Alto (the upper district). Disembark here and wander through this charming labyrinth of colorful streets and alleys. Be sure to enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the city from the Miradouro da Graça. It is an ideal spot to pause for a coffee or a glass of vinho verde while appreciating the faded grandeur of this remarkable city.

Walking Tours:
Your ticket includes access to two guided walking tours throughout the city, one in the morning and another in the late afternoon. Simply disembark at one of the stops listed below, and our knowledgeable guide will lead you through the old town, sharing intriguing facts and delightful anecdotes about Lisbon’s history and contemporary life.

Night Tour:
Lisbon truly comes to life after dark. This is why we have incorporated a complimentary night tour of the city on our bus. Board at stop 1 on our red route and enjoy a ride through the old town to experience Lisbon after sunset.

  • Meeting Point: Stop 13 on the Red Line / Stop 2 on the Green Line (same location)

Castle - Alfama:

  • Meeting Point: stop 4 on the Castle Route (Castelo San Jorge). Exact location provided on voucher after booking.
  • Departs at 17:00 every day
  • Duration: approx. 1 hour

Night Tour:

  • Start of the tour: Stop 1 on all lines (Marquês de Pombal)
  • Departs every day
  • September – April: 08:00pm; May – August: 09:00pm
  • Duration: approx. 1h

  • You may board the bus at any designated stop.
  • In return for your voucher, you will receive a ticket, which you are required to retain until the expiration date or the conclusion of the tour.
  • Please verify your ticket to ascertain its expiration date.
  • Once you have exchanged your voucher for a ticket, the voucher will no longer hold any validity.
  • In the event of a lost voucher or ticket, the company shall not be responsible for any refunds.

Voucher Validity:

  • The voucher is valid for 12 months from the date of booking.

Important Info:

  • Multiple days ticket must be consecutive only.
  • There may be disruptions due to weather, traffic, and events.
  • You can board the bus at any stop and voucher can be exchanged directly with the driver.
  • Stops and timings are subject to alter. There will be an updated map on the bus.
  • There may be a small delay in the bus's arrival and departure schedules.
  • Road closures and heavy traffic can result in delays, reduced trips, and route modifications. We'll make every effort to deliver a seamless and regular service! Under these circumstances, there will be no refund.
  • Green Route: please note that the buses on our Green Route are not suitable for wheelchair users.
  • You get a 10% discount at City Lockers in the following locations: Rossio Metro Station, Praça da Figueira Car Park, Martim Moniz Car Park, City Lockers Chiado Store and City Lockers Camões Store. Code provided on your ticket.

Information for Cruise Passengers:

  • Guests are advised to check with their cruise line on the port location that the ship will dock into in Lisbon. The City Sightseeing Lisbon buses will coincide with the cruise guest’s disembarkation and be awaiting close to the cruise terminal. If Cruise guests do not see the Red City Sightseeing buses, please follow the below;
  • Cruise guests arriving into Santa Apolonia will be able to join the Red and Blue Routes at Terminal de Cruzeiros).
  • Cruise guests arriving into Jardim do Tobaco will be able to join the Blue Route at bus stop 4 or the Red Route (Terminal de Cruzeiros)
  • Cruise guests whom are arriving into Rocha Conde de Obidos will be able to join the Red Route (Terminal de Cruzeiros).

  • To get the full refund, you must cancel your booking at least 24 hours before the activity/tour start time.

  • The activity/tour's local start time determines the cut-off times.

  • There may be unexpected changes in the route or timetable due to traffic, public holidays, weather conditions, cruise ship arrivals, or other unanticipated situations. During major events, summer vacations, and weekends, the city will be quite busy. We will do everything we can to provide a smooth and consistent service! In such cases, no reimbursement is allowed.
  • Tours run regardless of the weather. Weather-related refunds will not be issued unless the service is discontinued due to inclement weather.
  • The service provider preserves the right to amend or cancel the itinerary due to city events or force majeure.
