Itinerary

Arrive at our central Barcelona office fifteen minutes before to the activity's departure time. As you travel to Girona in an air-conditioned coach, kick back and enjoy the ride. You will arrive in the city following a 1.5-hour highway drive.

On our day trip from Barcelona, explore mediaeval Girona and the Dali Museum in Figueres, the birthplace of artist Salvador Dalí. Take a walking tour of Girona's charming Old Town with a guide. Discover the wealth of the city in the Middle Ages while taking in the cathedral and the vibrant homes clustered around the Onyar River. Visit the Dali Museum in Figueres after lunch on your own. See the colourful, egg-topped facade of the Dali Theatre-Museum and peruse its jewellery, sculpture, and painting collections.

Discover this charming town's Roman history and have a look at a portion of the still-standing city walls. Admire the architectural elements of the city's historic centre as you stroll along its cobblestone streets. Learn about the urban myths and stories. Do you know why flies were so significant to its past?

Admire the Baroque façade of Girona Cathedral and make time to capture photographs of Girona's most famous view, which is the panorama over the houses clustered along the Onyar that are brightly painted.

Once you've had some free time to enjoy lunch at one of Girona's many tempting eateries, get back in your coach and continue to Figueres, the birthplace of renowned Spanish surrealist Salvador Dalí, who was born there in 1904. Your guide will tell you about Dalí's life, including how the audacious artist transformed the town's dilapidated Municipal Theatre into the Dalí Theatre-Museum. The museum, which opened its doors in 1994, is home to the greatest collection of his paintings, sculptures, and other oddities anywhere in the world. Admire the whimsical facade, which features sculptured eggs as its focal point, and then venture inside to delve more into the collection.

After the guided tour, you will have roughly an hour of free time to eat lunch and explore the city at your own pace. Reunite with your guide and take a trip to Figueres, the home of the Dalí Museum.

The original building has been rebuilt to house the collection today. In the course of the Spanish Civil War, the former burned down. Admire the largest collection of artist artworks when you enter the museum. Take a look at some of his most significant paintings and observe how his style has changed over time. The Museum perfectly captures the creative and historical significance of his creations.
