Animatronics & Magical Creatures

Its full-sized mouth measured 30 feet long, with jaws 3 feet deep, and it could even slither along a track during filming.
You’ll also meet Buckbeak the Hippogriff, one of the series’ most beloved creatures. Buckbeak had three physical versions—standing, rearing, and lying down—with every feather individually glued on by hand.
The Art Department
Marvel at the iconic Hogwarts Castle model, built by a team of 86 artists and crew members. Enhanced with digital effects, the model features 2,500 fibre-optic lights that flicker to simulate life inside the castle. With real gravel, plants, and extraordinary detail, the combined working hours equate to an astonishing 74 years.
From potion textbooks and acceptance letters to sweet wrappers and copies of the Daily Prophet, every paper prop was hand-designed and hand-made. Even the potion bottles were individually illustrated.
