Itinerary

An exciting and eerie way to learn about Savannah's haunted past is to take the Savannah Ghosts & Gravestones Tour. Savannah, one of the most haunted towns in the country, has a dark history full with spooky stories of ghosts, paranormal activity, and restless spirits. This nocturnal tram trip offers you spooky, fascinating stories along with a visit to some of the most haunted spots in the city.

Drive by historic cemeteries (both standing and destroyed by time and development), antebellum homes, and verdant squares covered in Spanish moss and bursting with live oaks. You might hear ghosts and the echoes of past conflicts as you pass the locations of some of the bloodiest battlegrounds in history.

With EXCLUSIVE nocturnal entrance into TWO of Savannah's most haunted sites, Ghosts & Gravestones guests will now be able to experience America's Most Haunted City unlike any other tour.

The Andrew Low House is the first place to visit. This exquisite mansion, constructed by John Norris, features one of Savannah's most exquisite ironwork balconies and blends aspects of Grecian and Italian villa styles. The house has long been the subject of ghost stories; employees have reported seeing apparitions dressed in period attire and furniture moving around the house while no one is around. All of that is blended with the docents' contemporary experiences inside the house to create an eerie legacy. You will be able to take in this magnificent home's interior spaces and feel it for yourself.

Then, leave the 'Trolley of the Doomed' behind and embark on the Perkin's and Sons Ship Chandlery, an intriguing new chapter in the Ghosts & Gravestones tale!

Standing as a testament to the thriving port activity that formerly occurred directly at its doorstep, Perkins and Sons is situated on River Street, which many consider to be the paranormal epicentre of "America's Most Haunted City." As your Ghost Host enters this historic structure, follow him around. You'll know you've entered a different era as soon as you walk in. You will actually EXPERIENCE the haunting past that gave rise to Savannah's strong paranormal presence once you're inside. As you become engrossed in the sinister legends of River Street's history, every sensation will be stimulated.

The guides narrate tales of some of Savannah's most well-known ghost stories, such as historical murders, eerie ghosts from the city's past, and the darker aspects of Savannah's colonial and Civil War past.

True historical events are frequently woven into stories along with the spooky folklore and sightings that have made Savannah a popular destination for ghost seekers.

Haunted Locations:

Colonial Park Cemetery: This cemetery is one of the oldest in Savannah and is said to be the final resting place of many of Savannah’s restless spirits. It has a dark history, including yellow fever victims, duels, and grave desecrations.

Andrew Low House: This 19th-century mansion is rumoured to be haunted by members of the Low family, as well as spirits of servants who lived in the house. Paranormal sightings and strange occurrences have been reported here.
